My mom and I would always have a debate about the appropriate leg size for pumps with ankle straps. She would say that the bigger the leg, the bigger it looks with an ankle strap. After I stalked every single site that carried these shoes for new stock or a return from a customer with a change of heart, I found 1 pair in January as I was staring at the screen waiting for Fiscal Cliff updates to upload into my payroll files (tax law makes me think about d'orsay pumps). I earned them and chunk be damned, I'm gonna wear them.
